We are looking for a meticulous and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in San Francisco, California. In this position, you will play a key role in managing the accounts payable process for a residential housing operation. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a high-volume AP function, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of invoices and payments. This position is contract to hire and is 100% onsite.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounts payable inbox, overseeing the intake and organization of invoices.

• Print, scan, and upload invoices into the financial system with precision.

• Coordinate with internal teams to obtain necessary approvals for invoice processing.

• Generate Positive Pay reports and ensure timely submission following invoice approvals.

• Prepare and mail checks for payment, ensuring compliance with organizational protocols.

• Assist with occasional tasks for the corporate accounts payable team as needed.

• Draft and send periodic tenant letters using pre-formatted templates.

• Support tax reporting activities as required, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

• At least 2 years of experience in accounts payable, ideally within residential real estate.
• Familiarity with Yardi software is an advantage but not mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Experience with digital workflows, including printing and scanning invoices.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
• Proficiency in handling check payments and ACH transactions.
• Detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial processes.
