ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT:

We are a growing private periodontal/oral surgery practice and are looking for an administrative assistant with strong written and verbal skills related to dental surgery procedures. Our schedule is Tuesday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

What is a typical day like for our administrative assistants?

As an administrative dental assistant, you will work on behalf of the patient as well as the dentist. This position demands someone to grasp the schedule, flow, and timing, ensuring we have what is needed to provide treatment to our patients.

A big part of your day will be spent on the telephone answering patients questions, confirming and scheduling appointments, verifying insurance benefits, and requesting information from our referring offices. Record-keeping duties may include replying to emails and text messages, importing x-rays, scanning documents, and documenting conversations in patient charts.

Qualifications:

2 years dental office experience preferred
Proficient with Dentrix, and Microsoft Office
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Knowledge of OSHA and HIPAA guidelines

Required Education:
High school or equivalent
