Job Title: Ammonia Refrigeration Technician – Industrial Maintenance

About the Role

We’re seeking a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you’ll perform preventive maintenance , troubleshoot and repair industrial refrigeration systems , and ensure production uptime. You’ll also handle boiler checks , equipment overhauls , and work on electrical , welding , pneumatic , and hydraulic systems . Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on ammonia refrigeration equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair systems to maintain production uptime.
• Conduct regular boiler and refrigeration checks .
• Overhaul and update equipment as needed.
• Repair and maintain electrical , hydraulic , pneumatic , and welding systems .
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For

• Experience: Background in Ammonia Refrigeration .
• 3+ years in mechanical maintenance , including installation and troubleshooting.
• Skills: Knowledge of hydraulics , pneumatics , electricity , plumbing , and PLCs .
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks (bend, lift, twist).
• Preferred: MN State Specialist Class Boilers license or higher.
• Experience with industrial refrigeration systems and preventive maintenance .

Work Environment & Schedule

• High noise levels, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment, and dust.
• PPE required for safety.
  • Rotating Schedule: Monday–Wednesday + rotating weekends OR Wednesday–Friday + rotating weekends.
• Second Shift: 1:00 PM – 11:30 PM
• 40 hours per week with alternating weeks of 30 hours straight time + 10 hours overtime for extra time off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $51272.00 - $62628.00/yr.
