Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Technician to join our growing team in Orlando, FL . The ideal candidate will hold an active ASSE 6040 certification and have hands-on experience with the inspection, testing, and maintenance of medical gas and vacuum systems. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform inspections and functional testing of medical gas and vacuum systems per ASSE 6040 standards
• Verify the integrity and operation of piping systems, outlets, zone valves, alarms, and related components
• Document inspection results and testing data thoroughly and accurately
• Identify deficiencies, communicate findings to clients, and recommend corrective actions
• Collaborate with healthcare facility staff to support compliance and safety initiatives
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ASSE standards, NFPA 99, and other applicable regulations
Requirements
• Active ASSE 6040 certification (required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience in medical gas system installation, testing, or maintenance
• Strong working knowledge of ASSE and NFPA 99 standards
• Exceptional attention to detail and documentation accuracy
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
