We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Blockchain Forensics Analyst with 5+ years of experience to join our security and compliance team. In this critical role, you will lead post-execution forensic investigations on blockchain transactions and smart contracts to detect anomalies, fraudulent behavior, and trust violations. Your expertise will drive the integrity and trustworthiness of our decentralized ecosystem by uncovering threats, supporting incident response, and strengthening our fraud detection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive post-execution forensic reviews of blockchain activities to identify suspicious behaviors, fraud patterns, and unauthorized asset movements.
- Analyze transaction histories, smart contract logs, and wallet behaviors for anomalies or deviations from expected trust models.
- Develop, refine, and maintain frameworks and machine learning models to detect trust violations and classify anomalous behavior.
- Collaborate closely with security engineering, legal, and product teams to investigate incidents, trace root causes, and recommend effective remediation strategies.
- Conduct thorough post-execution reviews to identify anomalies, fraudulent behavior, or violations of trust.
- Document detailed forensic findings and contribute to incident reports, regulatory compliance audits, and risk assessments.
- Leverage advanced blockchain explorers, on-chain analytics platforms (Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Nansen), and custom automation scripts for data extraction and analysis.
- Stay ahead of emerging fraud and threat patterns in blockchain ecosystems, DeFi protocols, and wallet technologies to continuously enhance detection capabilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or a related field.
- 5 8 years of hands-on experience in blockchain forensics, digital investigations, cybersecurity, or financial fraud analytics.
- In-depth understanding of Ethereum, Bitcoin, and smart contract behaviors.
- Proficiency in using forensic tools such as Chainalysis, TRM Labs, Nansen, and on-chain data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of blockchain security models, DeFi systems, wallet infrastructure, and threat surfaces.
- Solid scripting skills (Python or similar) for data automation and analysis.
- Certifications such as Certified Blockchain Forensics Professional (CBF) , GIAC Certified Forensic Analyst (GCFA) , or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are preferred.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, investigative rigor, and attention to detail.
