Business Systems/Operations Analyst at Spang & Company summary:

The Business Systems/Operations Analyst at Spang & Company partners with business groups and IT to improve operational agility, optimize ERP system usage, and enhance Business Intelligence capabilities. The role involves requirements gathering, translating needs into technical specifications, configuring ERP and BI solutions, and monitoring system utilization to support decision-making. The position requires 5-10 years of experience with ERP systems and custom reporting tools, with a preference for IFS Applications expertise.

Spang & Company has an opening for a Business Systems/Operations Analyst at its headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA . This position will play a critical role in delivering successful solutions by partnering with business groups and IT staff to improve operational agility, optimize the use of the ERP system, and enhance Business Intelligence capabilities. The position will ensure that reporting is timely, accurate, and consistent for stakeholders across the organization.
Through its three unique product lines, Spang & Company designs, produces, and supplies precision soft magnetic components and materials to the electronics industry and delivers custom-engineered solutions to the power industry. Primary responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders, process specialists, and business groups to elicit and document requirements, translating non-technical requirements into technical business requirements, and recommending system and process improvements. This position will manage the configuration and setup of ERP and BI-related solutions, perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and BI Solutions, and analyze system activity by assessing system utilization, employee productivity, and trends among key quality attributes.
A bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field is preferred. Candidates must have 5 - 10 years of functional experience working with ERP systems and custom reporting/BI solutions. IFS Applications experience is strongly preferred.
