Cattle Scheduling Coordinator- Regional Beef

General Summary: The JBS Regional Beef team is seeking a Cattle Scheduling Coordinator for Night Shift (3:00pm-11:30pm MST) to support smooth processing operations by coordinating cattle scheduling and transportation during evening hours. This role is responsible for maintaining the Predicted Kill Schedule, resolving trucking delays, communicating with key stakeholders and ensuring accurate data entry. The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and works well independently.


Responsibilities:
  • Relieve Day Shift Cattle Schedulers, by stepping in to complete remaining incoming calls and wrapping up final load details.
  • Ensure cattle are properly scheduled and delivered on time for each slaughter day at Regional Beef Plants.
  • Assign delivery slots/appointments to maintain an adequate flow of cattle.
  • Resolve trucking issues that occur during evening hours.
  • Hire and dispatch haulers for transportation or assist a supplier during transportation/delivery process.
  • Data entry of all purchases turned in while working while maintaining accuracy.
  • Develop a good and positive working relationship with all stakeholders.
  • Create and distribute reports to all appropriate stakeholders.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Able to work Sunday to Thursday 3:00pm - 11:30pm MT with occasional Friday evenings when plant is scheduled for operating weekend.
  • Ability to answer occasional morning call if clarification is needed.
  • Transportation or livestock transportation knowledge preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required.
  • Keyboard and ten key proficiencies required.
  • Good communication skills with schedulers, buyers, suppliers, haulers and plant personnel.
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations. The applicant who fills this position will be eligible for the following compensation and benefits:
  • Benefits: Vision, Medical, and Dental coverage begin after 60 days of employment;
  • Paid Time Off: sick leave, vacation, and 6 company observed holidays;
  • 401(k): company match begins after the first year of service and follows the company vesting schedule;
  • Base salary range of $68,000-$78,000;
  • Incentive Pay: This position is eligible to participate in the Company's annual bonus plan, the amount of bonus varies and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program; and
