Jennifer’s Family Homes is a nonprofit group home providing safe, supportive, and nurturing care for children in the foster care system. We are seeking a Virtual Community Outreach & Grant Research Assistant to help us identify and pursue funding opportunities that sustain our programs and expand our impact.

As a Grant Research Assistant, you will help us strengthen our mission by researching and analyzing potential funding opportunities, including grants for general operations, program funding, capacity building, and workforce development (WIOA-related grants).

Key Responsibilities:

• Research government, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities
• Analyze eligibility guidelines and application requirements
• Track and compile information on deadlines, funding levels, and processes
• Organize and present promising opportunities to leadership
• Assist with building and maintaining a grant calendar

Volunteer Requirements

• Strong research and analytical skills
• Familiarity with grant databases, search tools, or nonprofit funding sources
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to meet deadlines
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
• Previous grant research or writing experience is highly desirable
• Knowledge of WIOA funding or workforce development grants is a plus

Time Commitment: Flexible, 5-10 hours per week (remote)
