JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Custodian will maintain a safe and clean work environment in the areas assigned, while maintaining all NOV Quality and Safety measures.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES - Daily / upon request, the duties include, but are not limited to:
- Cleaning and maintaining all areas of the facilities and grounds
- Completing all daily assignments in a timely and efficient manner
- Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Removing trash and debris
- Deodorizing and replenishing supplies in all restrooms and breakrooms
- Cleaning water coolers, refrigerators and microwaves in breakrooms
- Maintaining and organizing the cleaning supply inventory; and proactively submitting reorder supply requests
- Mixing and maintaining Gatorade coolers during the warm months
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned by Supervisor
- Comply with all NOV Company, Quality and HSE policies, guidelines and procedures
- Wear appropriate PPE in all required areas
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY & SKILLS REQUIREMENTS - Knowledge of custodial duties and janitorial responsibilities for a commercial business
- Knowledge of how to operate commercial cleaning equipment
- Ability to stand / walk / bend / stoop up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to lift weights up to 50 lbs. up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to push / pull up to 12 hours daily
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks up to 12 hours daily, e.g., shoveling, sweeping, fastening, etc.
- Ability to demonstrate and follow all safety workplace rules, practices and requirements
- Ability to report unsafe conditions immediately to the appropriate supervisor
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, to include nights and weekends, when necessary
- Detail-oriented and organized.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS - High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- 1-2 years of experience performing custodial, janitorial or cleaning services for commercial business (preferred)
- Experience working in a plant or manufacturing facility (preferred)
