Excellent opportunity for a dynamic Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join our team of highly trained Orthopedic Surgeons. We provide care to a varied group of patients with shoulder and elbow orthopedic surgical needs along with general orthopedic care. Our PA/ACNP will round on patients on the hospital floor; see patients in the orthopedic surgery clinic and provide surgical first-assist in the OR. The ideal candidate will be confident in their OR skills and clinical procedures, be driven and independent with the ability to be a self-starter and must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively within a team.

Essential Functions and Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited physician assistant or Nurse Practitioner program and certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants/American Association of Nurse Practitioners
• Active AZ license or eligible
• DEA with prescriptive authority required
• ACNP will require RNFA certification
• Orthopedic surgery experience preferred; but new grads will be considered
  

Practice Details:

• Full-time | M-F
• Surgical/Clinical position; 2 Days OR, 2.5 days Clinic
• OR time will be spilt between BOMC and the Ambulatory Surgery Center
• Supportive and tight-knit team of physicians, APPs, RNs, MAs and support staff
• Call Required

The hospital offers key inpatient and outpatient services, such as emergency care, intensive care, endoscopy, cardiac catheterization, imaging, surgical and women’s services. The four-story, 240,000-square-foot hospital is located on the southeast corner of Alma School Road and the Loop 202/Santan Freeway. It is adjacent to an existing Banner Health Center and is part of the newly expanded medical community that Banner Health has completed in Chandler. In addition, a Medical Office Building, Ambulatory Surgery Center and an Imaging Center have been built near the hospital to further support the health care needs of the surrounding community.
