Evans Distribution Systems, one of the area's leading logistics providers is looking for experienced
Stand-up Forklift Driver for its growing Division in Melvindale, MI.
Description - Unload inbound shipments safely and move product as needed.
- Efficiently stack and store merchandise in the appropriate area
- Check or count freight for accuracy and/or damage and infestation.
- Prepare necessary paperwork and submit to operations manager.
- Frequent & repetitive lifting using both hands/arms for items weighing approximately 50 lbs.
- The Lifting frequency may be in excess of 100 repetitions per shift.
- Frequent bending and twisting at waist/knees/neck while off-loading and loading trucks.
- Help maintain cleanliness of warehouse and building grounds.
- Handle customer products with integrity.
- Perform all duties in conformance with appropriate safety and security standards.
- Assist in warehousing operations as needed, and all other miscellaneous duties as requested by supervisor.
- Maintain the facility's equipment and materials with integrity in a neat, clean, and orderly fashion.
- Responsible for awareness and compliance with warehouse work rules and company policies.
- Lift using proper safety methods provided by the company.
Requirements - High school degree/GED
- 3 years' experience driving a Standup Forklift is a must.
- Must be able to pass all pre-employment testing (includes background check and drug test).

- Position located at the headquarters office at 18765 Seaway Drive, Melvindale, MI 48122
- 7am start to 330pm Monday thru Friday flexible to work overtime during peak season.
- Starting wage: $16.00/hour
