Summary

We are seeking a digitally savvy, self-motivated Social Media Intern to take full ownership of social media content creation, scheduling, and performance tracking across multiple SPI brands. The ideal candidate is creative, organized, and confident managing brand voice and content from concept to execution in a B2B environment.

This internship offers a unique opportunity to manage a full social media program with support from SPI’s marketing team. You’ll receive mentorship, real-time feedback, and visibility into how social fits into broader digital strategy.

You’ll work with brand guidelines to craft messaging that supports broader marketing goals, while exploring new ways to engage and grow our online audience. Throughout the internship, you’ll analyze results, refine your approach, and contribute ideas that drive visibility and connection. Your work will culminate in a final report that offers a data-driven snapshot of our social media presence and your recommendations for the future.

  • Research industry activity and trends to inform content development
  • Create, manage, and schedule original content across LinkedIn and Facebook
  • Maintain an organized content calendar and ensure consistent publishing cadence
  • Monitor engagement and generate monthly performance reports including reach, clicks, and top-performing posts
  • Explore additional social media platforms and provide recommendations based on audience alignment and engagement potential
  • Collaborate with other marketing team members to align social with broader campaigns when appropriate
  • Align content with SPI brand guidelines
  • Present a final report highlighting performance insights, key accomplishments, and strategic recommendations for future content and platform development

Key Success Metrics (KPIs):

  • Consistent execution of social media content calendar
  • Growth in impressions, engagement, and followers across assigned platforms
  • Demonstrated initiative and creativity through new ideas, series, or improvements
  • Completion of monthly reporting and insights analysis

  • Strong writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and manage a project from start to finish
  • Confident in developing content aligned to distinct brand identities
  • Exceptionally organized, with strong attention to detail
