Monday - Friday Rotating Weekends/Holidays as required by Department Benefits Begin Day 1 Overview Job Summary Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Job Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity. Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times. Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments. Boone Health has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job. Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned.
