Job Title: Remittance Processing Clerk

Job Brief
Under direct supervision, this role is responsible for the receipt and processing of remittance data, preparing and processing checks for clearing, and providing information to internal partners in accordance with established operating procedures. This position requires consistent attendance and a commitment of 38–40 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions

• Receive, sort, prepare, and process remittances and invoice data.

• Open mail, extract paper invoices and payments, and prepare batches for processing.

• Ensure compliance with established departmental policies and procedures.

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train in other functional areas (mail sort, keying, reassociation, data entry) to ensure coverage.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.

• Ability to read and follow instructions with strong eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.

• Proficiency in operating general office equipment.

• Flexible schedule with ability to work additional hours as needed.

• Ability to meet production and accuracy standards within 90 days of training.

• Strong customer focus with the ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to change.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior lockbox, item processing, or equivalent experience.

• 10-key proficiency and PC/keyboard experience.
