Job Overview:

As a Music Teacher at Music Box, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality music education to

students of various ages and skill levels. Your role involves fostering a supportive and engaging learning

environment while progressing students through structured lessons and skill development. You’ll work closely

with our leadership team to deliver an exceptional learning experience, contributing to the growth of our

students and the school.

  • You contribute to the success of concerts, events, and social media promotion, strengthening the school's

presence in the community.

  • You follow the Music Box teaching method, lesson flow and code of conduct.
  • You are present for the weekly shifts you commit to working.
  • You are flexible to occasionally sub the shifts of other teachers, teach during peak lesson times,

including afternoons, evenings, weekends and/or holidays, as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete all initial and ongoing required training.
  • Deliver individual and group music lessons, ensuring progression and a structured curriculum for all

students.

  • Manage administrative tasks such as responding to lesson inquiries, scheduling lessons, and maintaining

student records.

  • Assist with the promotion of the school through social media, contributing ideas and content that

showcase student achievements and school events.

  • Support school events, including concerts and recitals, by helping with planning, organizing, and

ensuring student readiness.

  • Collaborate with other teaching staff and management to align your work with the school’s strategic

objectives and goals.

  • Maintain a clean and organized teaching environment, ensuring instruments and equipment are in good

working condition.

  • Contribute positively to the school culture by promoting a supportive, inclusive, and enjoyable learning

atmosphere for students and staff.

  • Occasional event and concert participation outside of regular teaching hours.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications, $18-$30 / hr.

Location and Work Environment:

  • This role is based on-site of Music Box school locations, in Germantown (7516 Capital Dr, Germantown

TN 38138) and/or Collierville (1950 W Poplar Ave, Collierville, TN 38017). Our facilities are designed

to provide a comfort able and inspiring environment for both students and teachers.
