Job Description

A dedicated Orientation and Mobility Specialist is sought for a K-12 setting in Humble, TX. This contract position focuses on providing essential support and guidance to students with visual impairments, ensuring they acquire the skills needed for safe and independent navigation within their school environment and beyond.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist (COMS).
  • Experience working with K-12 students, particularly those with visual impairments.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop individualized mobility plans.
  • Proficiency in teaching mobility techniques and strategies.
  • Familiarity with assistive technology related to orientation and mobility.
