Job Description

Loyal Source Government Services is looking for Phlebotomists to work at Togus VAMC in Augusta, ME. Key Responsibilities: Phlebotomists draw blood from patients using venipuncture, skin puncture, or arterial puncture. They also prepare the samples for laboratory testing. Explain the blood-drawing procedure to patients, verify their identification, and put them at ease. Ensure that blood samples meet regulatory requirements and can be safely transfused. They maintain specimen integrity by following department procedures and using aseptic technique Requirements: Qualifications:

• 1 yr of continuous experience as a phlebotomist. Prior experience working at a VA is preferred.
• BLS (AHA preferred)
• National phlebotomy certification preferred.
