We are seeking four skilled Physician Assistants specializing in Pediatrics for a 10-day locum tenens assignment in New York. This opportunity, starting on 01/02/2026, involves working 12-hour shifts with two positions covering 7a-7p and two covering 7p-7a at a hospital. The ideal candidates will have general pediatrics experience, with a preference for those with PICU experience. Flexibility in shift scheduling is essential, as assignments may change based on patient and facility needs. The role encompasses a wide range of pediatric care, from general pediatrics to critical care, including procedures, diagnostics, and treatment for patients from newborns to young adults.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive pediatric care for patients from newborns to young adults
• Perform various procedures including bladder catheterization, IV line placement, and wound care
• Manage burns, abscesses, and uncomplicated lacerations
• Conduct gynecologic evaluations for pre- and post-pubertal females
• Participate in neonatal resuscitation when required
• Diagnose and treat adolescent-specific health issues
• Evaluate and manage critically ill pediatric patients
• Provide care for premature and sick newborns
• Assess and manage cases of suspected child abuse
• Interpret diagnostic tests and imaging studies
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for patient care
• Provide patient and family education
• Document patient care in the Allscripts electronic health record system
• Participate in treatment planning and rounds
• Write admission orders, progress notes, and discharge summaries

Additional Information:

• New York state license required
