We are seeking a Property Accountant to manage a dynamic portfolio of commercial real estate properties across Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. Job Details

Required Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in Accounting or Commercial Real Estate.
• Familiarity with Yardi and/or Argus is a plus.
• Ability handling CAM, RE Tax, Insurance, and Utility reconciliations.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting legal documents related to leases and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform budget preparation, reforecasting, and variance analysis for your assigned properties.
• Assist with quarterly property valuations and audits.
• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and monthly journal entries.
• Review leases and leasing activity to ensure accurate billing and tenant recoveries.
• Prepare CAM, RE Tax, Insurance, and Utility reconciliations in line with lease agreements.
• Interpret lease language to set up accurate tenant recoveries and analyze expense/recovery rates.
• Provide backup support across A/P, A/R, and Lease Administration functions as needed.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of lease provisions and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
• Take ownership of special projects and additional duties as assigned.
