Job Description

Sales Admin

The sales admin provides direct clerical support to the Vice President of Sales for local sales.

Responsibilities include:

  • Support customer engagement efforts
  • Compose and prepare correspondence, reports, and documents
  • Manage Vice President of Sales email
  • Make travel arrangements
  • Authorize payroll deductions
  • Assist in preparation of food shows and sales meetings
  • Respond to solicitations for company donations
  • Screen phone calls and take messages
  • Maintain files
  • Retain local information within CRM
  • Research information
  • Generate and distribute promotional reports
  • Order supplies
  • Schedule and attend meetings
  • Collect, prepare, and distribute POS material
  • Run reports
  • Create and maintain promotional tracking spreadsheets
  • Support other areas of the company

Qualifications include:

Education:

  • High school education required
  • Bachelors degree in a related field preferred

Experience:

  • 1-2 years related administrative experience providing support to an executive-level supervisor
  • 2 years related administrative experience providing support to an executive-level supervisor preferred

Professional skills:

  • Working knowledge of Sysco sales processes
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to type 50-wpm accurately
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication with all levels
  • Possess strong interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented and balance multiple projects
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize
  • Manage work time efficiently
  • Follow procedures and policies
  • Identify and solve problems
  • Maintain a file system
  • Compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Proofread and correct spelling and grammar
