In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and optimization of reporting tools, dashboards, and performance metrics that drive data‑informed decision‑making across the organization. You’ll be part of a dynamic team that plays a critical role in supporting clinical and operational departments with strategic insights through reporting solutions. Your ability to work independently, collaborate across systems, and design innovative analytics tools will be key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Analytics & Report Development: Design, build, and maintain complex clinical and operational reports and dashboards using enterprise data systems and SQL‑based tools. Translate user requirements into effective data visualizations and analytics solutions, ensuring reports are intuitive and actionable. Build data extracts, custom metrics, and data registries to meet evolving clinical and business needs. Systems Support & Data Governance: Maintain robust reporting systems that ensure consistent performance, security compliance, and adherence to organizational data standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data integrity and standardization across platforms. Troubleshoot data issues and proactively address system errors or inconsistencies in reporting. Project & Stakeholder Engagement: Serve as the primary reporting liaison for multi‑disciplinary teams and external data partners. Work with internal departments and third‑party entities to align reporting tools with shared objectives and regulatory requirements. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to colleagues on best practices in data reporting and interpretation. Quality & Compliance: Implement data security protocols and ensure all deliverables meet regulatory guidelines and privacy standards. Support quality improvement initiatives by supplying data insights, tracking KPIs, and identifying performance trends. Participate in audits, compliance checks, and documentation reviews as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field. Note: In lieu of a degree, candidates with significant experience in healthcare data analytics may be considered. At least 4–7 years of hands‑on experience in healthcare reporting and business intelligence. Advanced knowledge of SQL and demonstrated experience querying relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL). Expertise working with complex reporting tools and frameworks, particularly in a clinical environment. Prior experience building reports and dashboards within Epic or similar EHR systems (e.g., Workbench, dashboards, self‑service tools). Comfortable working with outside health systems or vendor partnerships to deliver data‑driven projects and improvements. Experience in translating data into insights for leadership, quality teams, and operational stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Certifications in healthcare data analytics or clinical reporting tools (Epic‑related certifications are highly desirable). Familiarity with healthcare quality metrics, payer reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA, CMS, etc.). Strong background in performance improvement initiatives and clinical data analysis. Ability to automate processes, write scripts, or develop custom data integrations. Previous involvement in project delivery within the system development life cycle.
