Job Description:

We seek a highly creative full-time Senior WordPress Developer. This individual should have extensive experience developing custom WordPress sites and modifying existing ones to create a great user experience. The new hire will be responsible for editing and creating visually stunning and unique websites that perform well across all metrics within Googles CrUX dataset. This person will create development plans and clearly communicate them to multiple stakeholders.

Shooster Holdings (SH) is a third-generation, South Florida-based family office that started in 1974 and next year will be celebrating fifty years in business. SH primarily operates in the Answering Service, Virtual Receptionist, Commercial Real Estate, and CCaaS industries. SH has a proven track record of success in growing its portfolio companies through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

1. WPEngine, WordPress, and Cloudflare Expertise: 5+ years of experience working with WordPress.
2. Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing or an equivalent quantitative field (e.g. mathematics, statistics, computer science, etc.)
3. Excellent English Skills: Exceptional native proficiency in English to craft compelling marketing content, engage with a diverse audience, and drive successful campaigns.
4. Back-end Development: Extensive experience with PHP and SQL for back-end development is desired.
5. Design and User Experience (UX): The developer should have a keen eye for design aesthetics and an understanding of user experience principles.
6. Design Skills: Proficiency using the Adobe Creative Suite.
7. Site Performance: Proficiency using Googles CrUX data to find insights and implement them. Experience creating dashboards based upon this data to measure and highlight the improvements made.
8. User Interface Development: Build user interfaces for websites, focusing on usability and user experience. Creating impressive, visually appealing, and intuitive user interfaces (UI) that enhance the overall user experience.
9. Responsive Design: Design and develop websites with responsive design principles that are compatible and consistent across desktop, mobile, and tablet devices and all screen sizes.
10. Debugging and Troubleshooting: Be comfortable using debugging tools like Chrome Inspector, PageSpeed Insights, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, and Google Analytics to identify and resolve issues.
11. Performance Optimization: Conduct performance analysis, recommend improvements, and optimize plugins and page speed.
12. CRM Experience: Work with HubSpot or equivalent CRMs (Salesforce, Zoho, etc.) to handle lead nurturing, email marketing, and workflow automation.
13. Project Management: Manage multiple websites of portfolio companies and deliverables simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
14. Continuous Learning: Show a desire to learn and tackle new challenges in the ever-evolving web development field.

Sometimes we have to work with deadlines, which occasionally results in additional time and after-hours work as needed. This is typically infrequent, but we want you to have a reasonable expectation.

Preferred:

It would be helpful but not essential if the candidate had some knowledge of Contact Centers, Virtual Receptionists, Telephone Answering Services, SaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, UCaaS, Telecommunications, and/or Commercial Real Estate.
