About the Role

We're looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis . This role is perfect for a recent college graduate or early-career creative who's excited to grow in the digital media space while contributing to meaningful work.

This is a mostly remote position, but will require 2-3 in-person content capture days per month for client social media video/photo shoots (East Bay Area preferred).

Time Commitment: ~30 hours/month

Pay Rate: $25 -$27/hour - dependent on experience.

Schedule: Part-time, Flexible, with opportunity for growth.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Content Creation: Design and write engaging posts (graphics, captions, and short-form videos) aligned with each brand's tone and visual identity.
  • In-Person Content Capture: 1-2 shoots per month to capture original video and photo content for client social pages.
  • Account Management: Schedule and post across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and other platforms.
  • Community Engagement: Monitor social media accounts, respond to comments and DMs in the brand voice, and encourage positive audience interaction.
  • Client Collaboration: Communicate with clients and the team to brainstorm, gather feedback, and align on content goals.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track engagement metrics and deliver monthly reports with insights and recommendations.
  • (Bonus) Photography and Editing Skills: Experience with video and photo editing tools (e.g., CapCut, Lightroom, Canva) is a huge plus!

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3+ years of social media management experience (internships and freelance work count!)
  • Strong writing skills and understanding of brand tone, storytelling, and content trends
  • Experience with Canva and social scheduling tools like Later or Buffer
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and highly organized
  • Strong communicator with a collaborative spirit
  • Based in East Bay Area and available for 1-2 in-person shoot days/month
  • Bonus: Skilled in video/photo editing for Reels, TikToks, and Canva graphics
  • Passionate about community, helping small business and organizations thrive
