This intern position requires you to be in a hybrid working model (at least 3 days in the office, and 2 days remote) based at the Staples, Inc. Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, MA. Target Start Date: June 2, 2025 - August 15, 2025 (11-week program) What you bring to the table: Collaborative - able to build partnerships and work collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives Customer Focused - able to identify and understand internal or external customer needs and interests and deliver customer-centric solutions Inclusive - dedicated to fostering an inclusive environment consisting of diverse individuals from varying backgrounds and cultures Innovative - develop new insights; question conventional approaches; encourage new ideas; design and implement new solutions Self-Developer - actively seeks new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels What you'll be doing: Assist in developing and testing eCom backend models Support the implementation Java based frameworks like Spring, Spring boot Should be able to think differently about Software Solutions Collaborate with team members to improve backend Services performance Conduct research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Technology with AI-based thought process What's needed- Basic Qualifications: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field Basic understanding of machine learning, NLP, and information retrieval Familiarity with programming languages like Java or Python Exposure to machine learning libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-Learn) is a plus Eager to learn and experiment with new technologies in a collaborative environment Strong analytical and problem-solving skills What's needed- Preferred Qualifications: Adaptability, flexibility, and willingness to learn new things quickly Understanding of eCom platforms is a bonus Basic knowledge of big data tools (Hadoop, Spark) or any No SQL is beneficial Previous projects or coursework related to ML or AI are highly valued Enjoy working in teams and being highly communicative Able to multi-task and be flexible to new initiatives About Us Staples is an Equal Opportunity Employer who values the diversity of our people, products, and services.
