Tax Technology & E-invoicing Consultant (Amstelveen)

Department
The Tax Management Consulting (TMC) team within Meijburg & Co advises clients on the organization of the tax function with a specific focus on tax technology & data management, tax risk management and compliance (out)sourcing.

Your job
In the role of Tax Technology & E-invoicing Consultant, you will work with clients to design, build and implement E-invoicing strategies, supported through efficient processes, e-invoicing technologies and data management solutions. You will analyze clients tax processes, identify tax technology and data needs and provide insights on how to improve processes and implement technologies.

Your responsibilities

• Partner with clients tax and finance teams to identify and clearly articulate (functional) E-invoicing requirements;
• Advise on global e-invoicing strategy guiding clients on compliance, budgeting, and implementation;
• Support the selection of fit-for-purpose solutions to meet client needs;
• Evaluate and document current and future state tax compliance and reporting processes;
• Identify E-invoicing compliance and automation needs;
• Work with implementation teams to implement e-invoicing technologies in line with the clients requirements, timeline and budget;
• Manage alliances work with e-invoicing service providers and technology partners to develop strategic solutions and collaboration models.

We are seeking a candidate with a background in e-invoicing technology, strategy or regulations and good awareness of end-to-end invoice processing. A background in indirect taxes, complemented by a profound interest and/or experience in technology is also welcomed. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic colleague with a strong personality, an innovative mindset and a fresh perspective. Additionally, you are communicatively skilled and service-oriented.

As our ideal candidate, you also have

• A Bachelors and/or Masters degree in: Tax Technology; Tax Law; Tax Economics; Information Management; Data Management; Computer Science and/or Econometrics;
• At least 3 years of relevant work experience;
• A proficient command of the English and/or Dutch language, both spoken and written;
• Knowledge of and/or experience with e-invoicing software providers, PEPPOL as well as data management, analysis and visualization techniques and platforms (e.g. MS Power BI, Alteryx/KNIME, Snowflake) is a plus;
• Knowledge of and/or experience with tax technology projects, tax engines and/or ERP systems like SAP is a plus;
• Knowledge of or affinity with indirect tax (compliance) processes;
