Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Technical Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating and maintaining business operations policies and procedures, including desktop-level procedures. This role is essential for ensuring that our operational documentation is clear, accurate, and accessible to all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, write, and maintain comprehensive business operations policies and procedures, including desktop-level procedures.
Collaborate with business units, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to gather information and ensure documentation accuracy.
Create clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation that meets organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
Review and update existing documentation to reflect changes in business processes, technology, and regulations.
Ensure consistency and standardization of documentation across all business units.
Utilize various tools and software to create and manage documentation, including word processors, content management systems, and graphic design tools.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of documentation to ensure ongoing accuracy and relevance.
Provide training and support to staff on the use and interpretation of policies and procedures.
Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical writing, with a focus on business operations policies and procedures.
Experience in the Healthcare Payer industry or US Health insurance business processes.
Strong understanding of business operations and business process documentation.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of desktop publishing and graphic design tools.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and clarity.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
