About the Role We are working on behalf of a large, complex enterprise organization that operates business-critical platforms supporting internal teams and operational partners. This organization builds and maintains data-driven systems that enable decision-making, operational execution, and internal productivity across multiple business domains.
We are seeking an experienced UX Researcher to support enterprise platforms and internal tools. This role is well-suited for a researcher who thrives in complex, process-driven environments and is comfortable navigating ambiguity while delivering actionable insights that influence product and design decisions.
Job Description As a UX Researcher focused on enterprise products, you will lead research efforts that uncover user needs, workflows, and pain points for internal and B2B systems. You will partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to shape product strategy and UX direction through rigorous, evidence-based research.
This role spans the full research lifecycle—from exploratory discovery to evaluative testing—and requires strong systems thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate complex business rules and workflows into clear insights. The ideal candidate is hands-on, methodologically strong, and capable of owning research independently while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities - Lead and execute end-to-end UX research across discovery, concept validation, and evaluative phases for enterprise products
- Partner closely with product managers, designers, engineers, and business stakeholders to define research questions aligned to product goals, business outcomes, and key performance indicators
- Plan and conduct qualitative and quantitative research using methods such as contextual interviews, journey mapping, usability testing, surveys, and data analysis
- Investigate complex workflows, operational processes, and data-rich systems to identify user needs, pain points, and opportunities
- Synthesize research findings into clear, actionable insights, frameworks, and narratives that inform product and design decisions
- Clearly articulate objectives, parameters, constraints, trade-offs, and implications of research findings
- Advocate for user-centered decision-making while balancing business, technical, and operational considerations
- Navigate ambiguous and evolving problem spaces in fast-moving, iterative development environments
- Contribute to a culture of evidence-based, human-centered practice across UX, product, and engineering teams
Qualifications Required Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience as a UX Researcher supporting enterprise software, internal tools, or B2B platforms
- Strong experience researching complex workflows, data-rich interfaces, and process-driven systems
- Proficiency in a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods and a strong understanding of when to apply each
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with designers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders
- Strong portfolio or case studies that showcase enterprise research work, problem framing, insight generation, and impact on product decisions
- Ability to work independently as a contractor, delivering high-quality research outcomes with minimal supervision and escalating when appropriate
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey insights, implications, and recommendations
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience researching systems that support store operations, supply chain, finance, HR, or other enterprise domains
- Strong skills in research synthesis, sensemaking, and storytelling for cross-functional audiences
- Experience working in agile or iterative product development environments
- Experience collaborating with distributed or cross-location teams
