The Pet Stop is currently looking for a certified or experienced Veterinary Technician Assistant to join our exceptional team. We are a small animal practice that has been providing high quality veterinary care to Alaska since 1985. Our team includes four doctors who cater to the needs of dogs and cats.Our goal is to find a tech assistant who is interested in a long-termcareer in veterinary medicine that fits well with our team. This full time position allows for an excellent opportunity to challenge yourself and to utilize your skills. Some of these skills and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Acting in a support role to doctors and technicians Communicating well with clients and team Client Education Laboratory work Radiology Surgery and procedure prep and sterilization procedures Daily, compassionate patient care Proper medical documentation Stocking hospital supplies Cleaning rooms, treatment areas and kennels Qualities required for this position: Has strong work ethic. Demonstrates wow service. Is personable and professional. Excels at multitasking and attention to detail. Is eager and willing to learn and share ideas. Demonstrates a positive team-oriented approach. Is dependable and punctual. Maintains productivity without supervision. This position offers four 10 hour days (37-40 hours/ week) which helps to provide a better work/life balance.
