Canrig Drilling Technology Ltd., with revenues of approximately $400M, provides equipment, tools, services, and software products to oil and gas companies worldwide to improve the safety and efficiency of the drilling process. Our workforce, like our technology, is rapidly expanding and looking for a qualified Warehouseman.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Carry out all duties in the safest possible manner and ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is used correctly
•Maintain the warehouse inventory of spares for the rig and yard in accordance with all systems
•Provide for security under safe lock and key of the spares inventory
•Ensure that all items in inventory are properly stored, those such as BOP consumables or electronic components which require dark and/or air-conditioned storage and hazardous goods such as paints which require separate storage
•Monitor the maximum safe storage periods for any items which have prescribed shelf-life limits
•Initiate Materials Requests (MRs) for the spares inventory or capital items together with the respective department head at warehouse site
•Identifying any missing, lost, or damaged materials and immediately notifying the supervisor.
•Arrange for Materials Transfers (MTs) for movement of materials to rigs or other warehouses/yards
•Ensure that all purchasing is carried out to the highest ethical standards
•Monitor progress reports of outstanding MOLs
•Produce monthly inventory and financial reports of stock levels, issues, receipts and values
•Keep records of materials movements and inventory levels, issues to report to Supply Chain Manager
•Carry out receiving function for equipment deliveries, unpack, and take into inventory
•Arrange for local purchases where they are feasible
•Perform annual cycle counts and produce reports to the Supply Chain Management making recommendations on changes to inventory levels, re-ordering quantities etc.
•Discuss regularly with the Supply Chain Management forthcoming rig operations and any impact they may have on spares usage
•Maintain personal training and in particular keep knowledge of the systems
•Participate actively in Yard/Warehouse Safety Meetings
•Other job duties as specified by their Supervisor

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent
2-4 years in warehouse environment
2-4 years forklift experience
2-4 years pallet jack operations
Ability to lift 80 pounds
Ability to understand and work with inventory software
LANGUAGE SKILLS Fluent in English. Ability to read and interpret documents written in English. Documents to include written work instructions, schematic/assembly drawings, standard operating and maintenance procedures, safety rules. Must be able to communicate effectively with immediate supervisor.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage.
REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations. Ability to understand detailed drawings, bills of material, schematics, and work instructions.
COMPUTER SKILLS General knowledge of Microsoft Word and E-Mail messaging, and an all-around general knowledge of computer operations is advantageous.
