Snowmobile Program Equipment Operator

Provide important trailhead access in a heavily used, major snowfall area that is one of the most popular snowmobiling areas in Wyoming:

These positions will be for the use of Snowmobile Program equipment to remove snow from six major snowmobile parking areas. This position will be based out of Dubois Wyoming and will require the removal of snow from the Sheridan Basin, Brooks Lake, Moccasin Basin, Togwotee, Blackrock, and Topping Lake Snowmobile parking areas.

Essential Functions:

• Remove snow from six major snowmobile parking areas: Sheridan Basin, Brooks Lake, Moccasin Basin, Togwotee, Blackrock, and Topping Lake Snowmobile parking areas.

Qualifications:

Preference may be given to applicants with previous plowing experience and clear driving record. Knowledge:

• Equipment service, maintenance, and operation of a Class B plow truck.
• Operation and maintenance of front-end loader.
• Problem-solving and handling many priorities and in directing work tasks and projects.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions with minimal protection from the elements.
• Reading weather patterns.
• Use of GPS/GIS and map reading skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must have at least a class A CDL w/ minimum 5 years driving experience.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Necessary Special Requirements:

• Must work outdoors in all weather conditions, often at night and/or on weekends.
