How You Make a Difference

Shape Safety and Security Excellence as the Security and Safety Director! As the Security and Safety Director, you will lead the charge in managing and overseeing all safety and security operations within the facility. Your role will be crucial in ensuring a safe environment for employees, individuals served, and the surrounding community. By driving continuous improvements and efficiencies, you'll balance innovation with uncompromised safety standards, meeting both company and client needs while securing a trusted and secure environment for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety/Security Department Management Plans, coordinates, and manages the safety/security department and team members to ensure a safe and secure facility.
  • Strategic Planning and Resource Management Participates in strategic planning and budget development with upper management, setting priorities, making decisions, and allocating resources efficiently.
  • Incident and Investigation Coordination Coordinates with departments and local authorities on security-related incidents, such as elopements, escapes, disturbances, and thefts.
  • Policy and Emergency Plan Oversight Reviews, revises, and implements safety/security policies and emergency operations plans, advising incident commanders and supervising emergency responses.
  • Compliance and Staff Management Ensures continuous compliance with corporate, client, and accrediting agency standards while managing staff performance, training, and scheduling to meet critical needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Required: For roles located outside the State of Florida, a high school diploma or equivalent is required. For Florida-based roles, client requirements mandate a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience: Required: For roles located outside the State of Florida, five (5) years of experience in a secure treatment setting with three (3) years having been in a management capacity. For Florida-based roles, client requirements mandate ten (10) years' experience in a secure treatment setting with five (5) years having been in a management position. Required: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Licenses: Required: Must possess a valid state driver's license.
